Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry Abroad

Being lost in a new country is always an adventure, but sometimes those adventures can take a turn for the worse when your stomach starts to growl. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement about exploring {aforeign land and forget about the most basic needs like food. This often leads to irritability, which can result in some less than gracious behavior.

I've definitely learned this the hard way on my last trip abroad. One moment I was beaming about discovering a local delicacy, and the next I was arguing with my travel companions because I hadn't eaten in hours. It's not exactly a behavior I'm proud of, but it just goes to show that even the most adventurous traveler can become a ravenous monster when they're hungry.

So, if you ever find yourself abroad and starting to feel cranky, my advice is to take a break. It might be the difference between having a fantastic trip and one that ends with some awkward moments.
